Where Does Lemmon Homes Build?

Our service area across the Akron-Canton region and Northeast Ohio.

We build custom homes across the Akron-Canton area and Northeast Ohio. We're based in Canton, and we build on land clients already own, on lots they've secured, and in developments across the region.

The three ways we start

  1. You own the land. We evaluate it and design to it. See building on your property.
  2. You've secured a lot, or identified one in a new development.
  3. You don't have land yet. We partner with developers and landowners across the region, offering a range of lot sizes, layouts and communities. See starting without land.

Communities

We build in The Sanctuary in North Canton, east of Cleveland Avenue and just south of Applegrove Street, which has a clubhouse, community pool, playground, several ponds and a walking path connected to the Stark Parks trail system. See The Sanctuary.

Area guides

Why local matters more than it sounds

Permitting authority in this region is genuinely complicated. Akron's permits come from Summit County, not the city. Stark County's unincorporated areas run septic, well and zoning permits ahead of the building permit. Canton, North Canton, Alliance and Massillon each run their own building departments. And frost depth requirements differ between Stark and Summit counties. A builder who works here every week already knows all of that. See Stark County permits and Akron and Summit County permits.
